Alocasia Regal Shield
A. reginula x odora
Incredibly large heart-shaped deep green leaves with bronze-purple undersides and bright green contrasting stems and veins. Lily-like flowers bloom in Spring and Summer, emitting a beautiful perfume that’s stronger at night. Also known as Upright Elephant Ears, this plant is a cross between Alocasia reginula Black Velvet and Alocasia odora.

Outdoor Position: Part Shade in a sheltered location
Indoor Position:    Bright sunny spot near a window

Preferred Soil Type: Moist, but well drained. We recommend using Superior Potting Mix for Indoor Plants.

Landscape Uses: Shady Garden, Tropical Garden, Fragrant Garden, Courtyard, Container / Pot, Under Trees, Indoor Plant

Ongoing Care: Let dry out between waterings. Reduce watering in winter. Watch for spider mites, scale, aphids and mealy bugs. Liquid feed. Mulch. Slow-release fertiliser annually or as needed. We recommend Campbells Rustica Plus Fertiliser.
