Bulbine Lily
B. bulbosa
Traditional food plant often called a native Leek, this perennial has densely tufted grey-green leaves with fragrant bright yellow star shaped flowers. Native to eastern Australia, this plant is frost hardy and will tolerate drying out in Summer. Used as a rockery plant, but equally can be grown in moist to boggy conditions.

Mature Height: 40cm
Mature Width:  40cm

Position: Full Sun / Part Shade

Water Zone: 2 (for pond edges or bog areas)

Preferred Soil Type: Any. We recommend using Premium Potting Mix if potted. If adding plants to a pond that contains fish, we recommend using garden soil or potting mix with no added fertilisers. Then add a layer of pebbles to keep the soil from washing away.

Landscape Uses: Aquatic Garden, Rockery, Mass Planting, Hedging, Screening, Courtyard, Container / Pot, Under Trees, Cut Flowers

Ongoing Care: Frost hardyKeep moist, particularly in dry periods. Watch for snails and slugs. Liquid feed and mulch if in garden or pot. Slow-release fertiliser annually or as needed. We recommend Campbells Rustica Plus Fertiliser. Fertilisers not generally needed if plant is in a pond that contains live fish.

Decorative Planter Pots & Baskets shown in some photos with plants are not included in price but can be purchased separately.
