Lebanese Cress
Aethionema cordifolium
Lovely fern-like green foliage, this spreading perennial herb is very easy to grow. High in vitamins and minerals with a tangy fresh flavour it’s great to use in salads. Makes an excellent weed suppressing mat.  Also known as Stonecress and is native to the Mediterranean region.

Position: Full Sun / Part Shade

Water Zone: 2 (for pond edges or bog areas)

Landscape Uses: Edible Garden, Cottage Garden, Mass Planting, Ground Cover, Aquatic Garden, Bog Garden, Courtyard, Container / Pot

Preferred Soil Type: Moist, Well Drained. We recommend using Grow Better Premium Potting Mix if potted. If adding plants to a pond that contains fish, we recommend using garden soil or potting mix with no added fertilisers. Then add a layer of pebbles to keep the soil from washing away.

Ongoing Care: Keep moist, particularly in dry periods. Liquid feed and mulch if in garden or pot. Slow-release fertiliser annually or as needed. We recommend Campbells Rustica Plus Fertiliser. Fertilisers not generally needed if plant is in a pond that contains live fish.
