Phalaris Ribbon Grass Variegated
P. arundinacea picta
Beautiful perennial grass with green and white striped blades. Commonly known as Reed Canary Grass. Versatile plant that grows in a variety of conditions, we recommend keeping it in pots as it can become invasive.

Mature Height: 60-90cm
Mature Width:  90-120cm

Position: Full Sun / Part Shade

Water Zone: 2 (for pond edges or bog areas)

Preferred Soil Type: Moist, Well Drained. We recommend using Grow Better Premium Potting Mix if potted. If adding plants to a pond that contains fish, we recommend using garden soil or potting mix with no added fertilisers. Then add a layer of pebbles to keep the soil from washing away.

Landscape Uses: Bog Garden, Courtyard, Screening, Hedging, Cottage Garden, Container / Pot

Ongoing Care: Keep moist during very dry periods. Liquid feed and mulch if in garden or pot. Slow-release fertiliser annually or as needed. We recommend Campbells Rustica Plus Fertiliser. Fertilisers not generally needed if plant is in a pond that contains live fish.
