Vietnamese Coriander
Persicaria odorata
Vigorous perennial herb with pointed aromatic edible leaves with burgundy blotches that thrive in wet areas of the garden. Also known as Vietnamese Mint, this herb is used in many Southeast Asian dishes.
Mature Height: 30cm
Mature Width: 30cm-6m
Position: Part Shade, prefers dappled light
Water Zone: 2 (for pond edges or bog areas)
Preferred Soil Type: Any, Well Drained. We recommend using Grow Better Premium Potting Mix if potted. If adding plants to a pond that contains fish, we recommend using garden soil or potting mix with no added fertilisers. Then add a layer of pebbles to keep the soil from washing away.
Landscape Uses: Aquatic Garden, Bog Garden, Mass Planting, Courtyard, Edible Garden, Container / Pot
Ongoing Care: Keep moist, prefers wet boggy soil. Liquid feed and mulch if in garden or pot. Slow-release fertiliser annually or as needed. We recommend Campbells Rustica Plus Fertiliser. Fertilisers not generally needed if plant is in a pond that contains live fish.
