Elephant’s Foot
Dioscorea elephantipes
Gorgeous, rare and unusual succulent, known for its thick caudex (trunk) that resembles an elephant’s foot with green leaves on tall green vines. Small greenish yellow bell-shaped flowers bloom in late Autumn / early Winter.

Mature Height: 1-3m
Mature Width: 2-3m

Outdoor Position: Full Sun / Part Shade in a sheltered location, prefers morning sun.
Indoor Position: Bright spot away from direct sunlight.

Preferred Soil Type: Well Drained. We recommend a specialised succulent potting mix.

Landscape Uses: Succulent Garden, Low Water Garden, Courtyard, Container / Pot

Ongoing Care: Water thoroughly, allowing excess water to drain completely. Let soil dry out before watering. Reduce water during summer dormancy. Liquid feed. Mulch.
