General

Photos of plants shown on our website are a good representation of the actual plant for sale. Sometimes the actual plant for sale is shown, however, as we have hundreds of plants for sale, this is not always possible. Plants are living things, so the appearance of the plant on our website may differ slightly to the one delivered. Every plant is unique and their growth is seasonal.

Prices may be changed at any time without further notice. While we make every effort to provide you the most accurate, up-to-date information, occasionally, one or more items on our website may be mis-priced. We reserve the right to refuse to honour any incorrect prices.

Plants that flower bloom at different times of the year, however there are no guarantees that the flowers will be showing, even if it’s normally the time of year they are in flower. Edible plants that fruit do so at different times of the year, however there are no guarantees that the plant you receive will have fruit, even if it is that time of year.

All our plants are cared for by a qualified Horticulturist and we take every possible care to grow beautiful, healthy plants. We will not be held accountable for the care of plants once they leave our premises.

Click & Collect

An email with our address and open times will be sent once your order is ready for collection. We are open by appointment only.  Please reply to the email with the day and time you want to collect your order, so we can have it ready for contactless pick up.

We offer same day Click & Collect for all orders. In most cases, we can have your plants ready for contactless pick-up within 30 minutes of receiving your order. However, to guarantee same day collection, please place your order at least two hours prior to our closing time.

All Click & Collect plant purchases must be collected within 7 days of placing order by appointment only. If you can’t collect within 7 days of ordering, please don’t hesitate to contact us to discuss your options. If we don’t hear from you within the 7 days, we will provide a refund, less administration fee of 3% of total amount. It’s preferred, but not necessary, that all other items be collected within 7 days of placing order. If you can’t collect within 7 days of ordering, please don’t hesitate to contact us to discuss your options.

If you haven’t collected your items as per appointment day/time, please contact us asap to make another time. If we don’t hear from you within 2 days of the missed appointment, we will provide a refund, less administration fee of 3% of total amount.

If you have purchased items for Click & Collect and have advised that you no longer require the item due to change of mind etc. prior to collection, we will provide a refund, less administration fee of 3% of total amount.

If for some reason you are not happy with items on pick up, please let us know before you leave and we will replace it with another item of the same value or provide a full refund. Please check our Refund and Returns Policy for more information.

Local Delivery

All products available from our online store can be delivered to surrounding Melbourne suburbs within our Local Delivery Zones with the delivery fee automatically calculated at checkout. Please check our Delivery page for more information and pricing.

Orders must be pre-paid. We do not accept payment on delivery.

Free delivery is applied to online orders starting from $100 or more, depending on your location. Free delivery offer is for Local Delivery only and does not include plants and other items delivered via Australia Post or Courier, or plants purchased via our Buy In Bulk or Espalier Plants ordering services.

Local Delivery is available 7 days a week, including public holidays (except on Christmas Day). Same day delivery is available if ordered by cut-off time. All other orders will be delivered the next day. Please contact us if you wish to have your order delivered on a specific day. Items must be delivered within 7 days of order being placed. An email will be sent to advise delivery day and time. It is preferred that someone is available to receive the plants, but plants can be left in a safe place as directed by the buyer, at their own risk.

If you no longer require your order due to change of mind etc. and you let us know before we deliver, we will provide a refund, less administration fee of 3% of total amount.

We cannot deliver to PO Boxes or Parcel Collect via our Local Delivery service.

Plants and other perishable items cannot be returned unless wrong products were delivered. Items must be photographed on the day of receiving and emailed to us within 24 hours. If we agree that the items are not what was ordered, we will pick up incorrect item and deliver the correct item at no cost to you. If item is no longer available, we will offer a full refund. Please check our Refund and Returns Policy for more information.

If for some reason you are unhappy or have changed your mind about the non-perishable item you have purchased from us, you may return the item at your cost for a refund within 30 days (30 day return policy is for online orders only), minus Delivery fee. For a refund to be applicable a proof of purchase must be obtained and the item must be undamaged, unused and in it’s original packaging when we receive it. Courier

If you are not located in our Delivery Zones, we can arrange for larger items to be delivered via reputable Couriers. Please contact us with your shopping list and address for a quote.

Delivery via Courier is available 6 days a week, excluding Sundays and public holidays. Same day delivery is available if delivery payment received by 12pm sharp. All other orders will be delivered the next day (unless it’s Sunday or a Public Holiday). Please contact us if you wish to have your order delivered on a specific day. Items must be delivered within 7 days of order being placed. It is preferred that someone is available to receive the plants, but plants can be left in a safe place as directed by the buyer, at their own risk.

Orders must be pre-paid. We accept PayID only. We do not accept payment on delivery. Once order is with the courier, we are not responsible for any delays, loss or damage.

If you no longer require your order due to change of mind etc. and you let us know before we organise delivery, we will provide a refund, less administration fee of 3% of total amount.

Australia Post

We use Australia Post ‘Express Post’ to deliver plants bare-rooted and other perishable items that fit easily inside a box. Postage & Handling costs are calculated at check-out. Orders must be pre-paid. We do not accept payment on delivery. Please check Australia Post website for estimated delivery times. Items will be sent from Braybrook 3019. Once posted, we are not responsible for any delays, loss or damage

We are very careful with packing and handling our plants. However, it is the responsibility of the purchaser to promptly unpack, plant and care for the plants appropriately once they arrive. We will not be held accountable for the care of plants once they leave our premises.

We deliver plants and other perishable items to Victoria, New South Wales, ACT, South Australia & Queensland only. We don’t post to the Northern Territory, Western Australia or Tasmania due to quarantine restrictions.

Plants and other perishable items sent via Australia Post ‘Express Post’ will be posted on Mondays and Tuesdays only. Orders placed after 12pm Monday will be posted on Tuesday. Orders placed after 12pm Tuesday will be posted the following Monday. Items must be posted within 7 days of order being placed. If you no longer require your order due to change of mind etc. and you let us know before items are posted, we will provide a refund, less administration fee of 3% of total amount.

Once plants and other perishable items have been delivered, they cannot be returned unless wrong items were sent. The items must be photographed on the day of receiving and emailed to us within 24 hours. If we agree that the items are not what was ordered, we will send the correct item at no cost to you. If item is no longer available, we will offer a refund or store credit. Please check our Refund and Returns Policy for more information.

​We also deliver non-perishable items that fit easily inside a box, using Australia Post ‘Express Post’ with Postage & Handling fee automatically calculated at checkout. We do not accept payment on delivery. Please check Australia Post website for estimated delivery times. Items will be sent from Braybrook 3019. We take the utmost care when packing. Once posted, we are not responsible for any delays, loss or damage. If you are in NT, WA or Tasmania and wish to purchase non-perishable items only, please contact us.

Non-perishable items will be posted Monday-Friday. We will endeavour to post non-perishable orders within 24 hours. Orders placed on Friday will be posted the following Monday (or Tuesday if Monday is a public holiday).

If for some reason you are unhappy or have changed your mind about the non-perishable item that you have purchased from us, you may return the item at your cost for a refund within 30 days (30 day return policy is for online orders only), minus Postage & Handling fee. For a refund to be applicable a proof of purchase must be obtained and the item must be undamaged, unused and in it’s original packaging when we receive it. Gifts – Corporate & Party Favours

Quotes are valid for 24 hours only as prices and availability can change on a daily basis. If you need more time to decide, not a problem. We’ll just need to confirm the items are still available at the price originally quoted.

Full payment required at time of ordering. Pay ID, Bank Funds Transfer, Credit Card or PayPal are accepted. Allow up to 48 hours for processing of bank transfer payments. PayPal and Credit Card payments incur a 2.8% surcharge.

Corporate Gifts & Party Favours are available for Click & Collect or Local Delivery only. Check our Delivery page for our flat rate Local Delivery prices. If your postcode isn’t included in our Local Delivery Zone, we may still be able to deliver using a Courier. Please contact us with your address for a quote.

Party Favours have a minimum order quantity of 10, with prices depending on quantity. It’s recommended that orders are placed at least 3 months prior to your function.

Gift Bag & Cards

Gift Bags & Cards are available at online checkout only. Just click on “Add Gift Wrap” at checkout for the following options:

  • Gift Bag & Card:
    Suitable for Click & Collect or Local Delivery only. Check our Delivery page to see if your loved one lives in our Local Deliver Zone. You can even choose the delivery day! Items must be delivered within 7 days of order being placed.
    If choosing a Gift Bag & Card for special occasions that fall on a particular day like Valentine’s Day, Mother’s Day and Father’s Day, orders must be made at least 2 days prior to guarantee delivery on the actual day.

All gift bag and card designs will be chosen at random, depending on the occasion. Styles and sizes shown on our website are indicative only and may not be available. For larger plants or items, we may use wrapping paper instead of a gift bag. Contact us for more information.

Payment Options

Payment options for our Online Shop include PayPal, Credit Card and Pay Later.

PayPal / Credit Card:

All payments on our website (except for PayID) are processed directly via PayPal, so we don’t see or store any personal details or any other sensitive payment information. You can also pay with your Credit Card or Debit Card if you don’t have a PayPal account. Please check PayPal website for more info.

Pay Later:

PayPal now offers Pay Later, also called Pay in 4, a buy now pay later option. Divide your purchase into 4 interest-free instalments. Please check PayPal website for their Terms & Conditions.

Payment options for Garden Design, Buy in Bulk, Espalier Plants, Corporate Gifts and Party Favours include Pay ID, Bank Funds Transfer, Credit Card or PayPal. Allow up to 48 hours for processing of bank transfer payments. PayPal and Credit Card payments incur a 2.8% surcharge. Full payment required at time of ordering.

Espalier Plants

Plants in Espalier form are ordered direct from Merrywood Plants. We don’t have these plants available at our Nursery to purchase directly. Please choose carefully as these plants are special ordered and cannot be refunded.

Bulk discounts apply to quantities of 3 or more plants.

Buy in Bulk

All plants in our Buy in Bulk range are ordered direct from reputable growers or suppliers. We don’t have these plants available at our Nursery to purchase directly. Please choose carefully as these plants are special ordered and cannot be refunded.

Bulk discounts apply to quantities of 5 or more plants. Prices quoted depend on the quantity of total number of plants. The higher the quantity, the lower the price per plant.

All plants are sold by pot size, not height as heights can vary. We cannot guarantee that the plants you receive will be of a specific height, but we may be able to provide an approximate height if that information is available from the grower/supplier. *Standards may be sold by both pot size and trunk height.

If you are unable to pick up the plants from our Nursery, or for larger plants and/or quantities, we will arrange delivery straight from our supplier to most locations in Australia, except Northern Territory, Western Australia and Tasmania due to quarantine restrictions. Delivery charges included once address is known.
