Calathea

Calathea is a genus of the family Marantaceae. They are commonly called calatheas or prayer plants. This genus of flowering plants currently contains around 60 species. Native to the jungles of South American where in its natural habitat, it survives under a canopy of leaves from large trees, where there is little to no sunlight.
