Pennywort
Hydrocotyle vulgaris
Gorgeous perennial spreading groundcover with lovely round scalloped edible leaves that thrives in wet areas of the garden. Makes a perfect potted up plant indoors. Also known as Copper Coin, Lucky Plant and Money Plant.

Mature Height: 30cm
Mature Width:  30cm-6m

Position: Full Sun / Part Shade

Water Zone: 2 (for pond edges or bog areas)

Preferred Soil Type: Any, Well Drained. We recommend using Grow Better Premium Potting Mix if potted. If adding plants to a pond that contains fish, we recommend using garden soil or potting mix with no added fertilisers. Then add a layer of pebbles to keep the soil from washing away.

Landscape Uses: Aquatic Garden, Bog Garden, Mass Planting, Courtyard, Container / Pot

Ongoing Care: Keep moist, prefers wet boggy soil. Liquid feed and mulch if in garden or pot. Slow-release fertiliser annually or as needed. We recommend Campbells Rustica Plus Fertiliser. Fertilisers not generally needed if plant is in a pond that contains live fish.

Decorative Planter Pots & Baskets shown in some photos with plants are not included in price but can be purchased separately.

Photos of plants shown on our website are a good representation of the actual plant for sale. Sometimes the actual plant for sale is shown, however, as we have hundreds of plants for sale, this is not always possible. Plants are living things, so the appearance of the plant on our website may differ slightly to the one you purchase. Every plant is unique, and their growth is seasonal.
