Baloskion tetraphyllum Syn. Restio tetraphyllus
Native dense clumping green rush-type plant with gorgeous feathering on the stem tips. Reddish-brown flowers show in the Summer. This beautiful plant is versatile, doing well in many different conditions, as well as being frost tolerant. Also known as Tassel Rope Rush, Plume Rush and Australian Reed.

Position: Full Sun / Part Shade / Shade

Water Zone: 2 (for pond edges or bog areas)

Preferred Soil Type: Any, Well Drained. We recommend using Grow Better Premium Potting Mix if potted. If adding plants to a pond that contains fish, we recommend using garden soil or potting mix with no added fertilisers. Then add a layer of pebbles to keep the soil from washing away.

Landscape Uses: Aquatic Garden, Mass Planting, Low Water Garden, Courtyard, Container / Pot, Under Trees

Ongoing Care: Keep moist, particularly in dry periods. Liquid feed and mulch if in garden or pot. Slow-release fertiliser annually or as needed. We recommend Campbells Rustica Plus Fertiliser. Fertilisers not generally needed if plant is in a pond that contains live fish.
