Nymphaea Water Lily
A lovely hardy water plant that bares beautiful flowers in various colours whilst surrounded by round floating lily pads. The flowers also float on the water’s surface during the warmer months. An attractive feature to your pond or water feature, these plants are cold tolerant, so perfect for Melbourne ponds. Young leaves and flower buds, as well as the seeds and tubers are edible if cooked.

Mature Height: 15-30cm
Mature Width:  30-60cm

Position: Full Sun

Water Zone: 5 (40cm or more in depth)

Preferred Soil Type: Sandy, Clay, Loam. We recommend using Grow Better Premium Potting Mix if potted. If adding plants to a pond that contains fish, we recommend using garden soil or potting mix with no added fertilisers. Then add a layer of pebbles to keep the soil from washing away.

Ongoing Care: Keep in water at all times. This plant multiplies very quickly. Do not let it block light from reaching other plants and fish.
