Filipendula rubra
Spectacular and tall herbaceous perennial with bright green jagged fragrant foliage. Masses of beautiful pink feathery flowers bloom in Summer through to Autumn. A stunning addition to any garden. Also known as Queen of the Prairie and is native to North America.

Position: Full Sun / Part Shade

Water Zone: 2 (for pond edges or bog areas)

Preferred Soil Type: Clay, Loam, Moist, but well drained. We recommend using Premium Potting Mix if potted.

Landscape Uses: Borders, Courtyard, Bog Garden, Rain Garden, Cottage Garden, Mass Planting, Container / Pot, Cut Flowers, Attracts Bees and other Beneficial Pollinators

Ongoing Care: Prune hard after flowering ends. Water regularly. Watch for snails and slugs. Liquid feed and mulch if in garden or pot. Slow-release fertiliser annually or as needed. We recommend Campbells Rustica Plus Fertiliser. Fertilisers not generally needed if plant is in a pond that contains live fish.
