Swamp Pennywort
Centella cordifolia
Low-growing spreading herb with small heart-shaped green leaves with red edges and stems. Pink-white flowers bloom from Spring to Summer. This Australian native thrives in wet areas of the garden. Also known as Arthritis Herb due to its use as a medicinal herb for arthritis and rheumatism.

Position: Full Sun / Part Shade / Shade

Water Zone: 2 (for pond edges or bog areas)

Preferred Soil Type: Clay, Loam. We recommend using Grow Better Premium Potting Mix if potted. If adding plants to a pond that contains fish, we recommend using garden soil or potting mix with no added fertilisers. Then add a layer of pebbles to keep the soil from washing away.

Landscape Uses: Aquatic Garden, Bog Garden, Edible Garden, Mass Planting, Under Trees, Courtyard, Container / Pot

Ongoing Care: Keep moist, prefers wet boggy soil. Liquid feed and mulch if in garden or pot. Low phosphorous slow-release fertiliser annually or as needed. Fertilisers not generally needed if plant is in a pond that contains live fish.
